Fencing in Cobb County

Fence Company in Marietta, GA

Twenty-six thousand homes inside one city line means every fence condition exists here simultaneously. The lot decides the job, not the town.

26,783 homes, and no such thing as a typical Marietta lot

Marietta has 26,783 homes. A city that has been building continuously for as long as this one has doesn't have a standard lot, and anybody quoting a Marietta fence off the town name alone is guessing. The variables that actually move the number are run length, corner count, gate count and how much fall there's along the line.

Eighties houses, and the maintenance question

With half the houses built before 1987, a large share of Marietta fence work is replacing something that has already been repaired once. At that point the question stops being what looks best and becomes what you want to do about it in ten years. That's the argument for vinyl and aluminum, and it's a real argument, provided it's honest about where those materials fail. Where the existing fence is sound in parts, repair and gate work is the cheaper path.

Corners, and why they cost more than you expect

On an irregular lot the corner count climbs fast, and every corner is a braced assembly instead of a line post. Four corners and a gate is a straightforward job. Nine corners on the same total length is a different one, and it's why two fences of identical footage can come back with different numbers. Counting corners before you call is the single most useful thing you can do.

Where the detail lives

What we do on any fence regardless of the town is on the fence company page. Style choices are in the fence styles guide and installed ranges by material in the fence quote guide. Decks, walls, porches and patios here are on the Marietta page, the county page is Cobb, the whole area we cover is on the service areas page, and a description of the run is enough to open a conversation.

Why do two fences the same length cost differently?

Corners, gates and grade. Straight run is the cheapest part of any fence. Corners are braced assemblies, gates are moving hardware, and falling ground adds layout time.
