Poured concrete circular driveway curving around a planted island at a two story home, Atlanta, Georgia
Sixteen minutes north
Gordon County is one town and a sixteen minute drive. Calhoun is the closest place we work outside our own county, and that shows up as how fast we can get there.
Calhoun is 10.3 road miles from us in Adairsville, about 16 minutes, almost all of it interstate.
All 7,199 Gordon homes we cover sit inside Calhoun, and 3,703 of them are owner occupied. What we offer up here is speed, not spread: one town, ten miles, and a short enough run that a second trip costs nobody anything.
Calhoun houses cluster around 1986, and Calhoun is the whole of Gordon for us. A county built in one go is predictable in a way that Catoosa, spanning 35 years, isn't. Almost every Gordon deck we look at is the same problem at the same age, a frame that has outlived two surfaces. Deck repair and replacement starts there, and composite decking is the usual question on the way back up.
Everything specific to Calhoun is on the Calhoun page: the two named waters, the stream lines and the fence pattern. If you're in Gordon County and not in Calhoun, we still come out. Call and tell us where you are.
Gordon shows 251 feet of relief, against 741 in Whitfield directly north and 481 at Cartersville to the south. Gentle ground puts most of the wall work we do here in the low, decorative category: raised beds, seat walls and a single course squaring off a soft slope instead of anything holding back a hillside.
Gordon has both a river and a lake inside the Calhoun boundary. Still water is what makes a screened porch pay for itself in July, and Moss Lake is still water. Five named streams cross the same boundary, which is why we set patios and walkways in this county out to a deliberate fall instead of laying them flat.
In the northern half of what we cover, Calhoun is the one mid-sized town. That's the awkward middle for fencing: too tight for the long acreage runs you get out in the county and too loose for the standard subdivision grid, so run lengths vary a lot here. What that looks like on the ground is on our Calhoun fence page.
At 55.8 percent, Calhoun is mid-table for ownership, which puts pergolas and patio covers in the same bracket as Cartersville and Dallas, not up with Powder Springs.
Fire pits go in with the hardscape. There are finished jobs on the gallery, the other counties are listed on our service areas page, and the fastest route to an answer is to tell us what you want built.
